Title

Self-Portrait at 55 East Division Street

Subject

Figure; Man; Bowl; Self Portrait

Description

In this piece, a man sits in a chair, with a blanket on his lap, and some trinket on top of the blanket. Behind the man is a staircase (upper left corner) and a chest of drawers (center). In general, the man's face, chair, blanket, and trinkets are very intricately drawn and there is a lot of deal. The man's left hand is resting under his chin and holding a cigarette and his right hand is holding a trinket. On his lap is a fancy bowl holding ice and a bottle of champagne, a vase with a plant inside, and a fancy box with what appears to be cigarettes inside.
