Description

A person dressed in a blue corset, a white dress, blue stockings and black heels stands in a delicately decorated room. They are standing sideways, but their face is slightly turned towards the spectator. Behind them is another person whose body is cut by the edge of the canvas. The second person wears a black suit, a white shirt, a black hat, and holds a cane with their right hand. The crane on the wall is indicative of the popularity of Japanese art in France at the time.
