From the “About” section of the website:
This full-year curriculum is intended as a no-cost alternative to current, more traditional textbooks in the field. It mixes materials rooted in real-world, contemporary communication scenarios, multimedia content, and online learning activities.The Grenzenlos curriculum ensures that the topics of discussion in the language classroom are relevant to and reflect today’s world.

The featured image is an illustration by Macalester students Marissa Mohammed and Phoebe Mol. These students, along with Ruby Arnone, Noah Heil, and Emma Thole, created illustrations for the website with support from Megan Vossler, Studio Art, and Britt Abel, German and Russian Studies.

This project was featured in the first annual DLA Showcase in November, 2019.
