Developing effective assignments for the hybrid context and beyond: Using multiple modes of engagement and assessment

Use these resources from the assignment development workshop (facilitated by Britt Abel (German Studies, Director of Writing), Lisa Stroschine, Jane Nesmith, and Angela Ziskowski (Coe College); Robert Hinck and Shweta Srivastava (Monmouth College)) to learn how to develop effective assignments for your hybrid course. The resources focus primarily on creating transparent assignments that follow the Universal Design for Learning.

Teaching and learning with care and hope: Ways of being with crisis, trauma, and uncertainty in the classroom and beyond

To help faculty imagine ways to address trauma in our teaching, our colleagues Karín Aguilar-San Juan (American Studies) and Devavani Chatterjea (Biology) led the first Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) summer 2020 faculty development session on Teaching and Learning with Care and Hope. Access this session as well as additional resources for addressing trauma in your course here.
